FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Are you insured? Lito's Banditos is covered by Protectivity Insurance. I am insured for dog walking and pet sitting. My cover includes care and custody of not only your pet, but also keys and/or alarm codes in the event that these are provided to me. The policy also covers public liability and personal accident.

Are there any dogs you won't walk? I will not walk any bitches who aren't spayed and are in heat,  overly aggressive dogs, or those breeds classified in the Dangerous Dog Act 1991 (Pit Bull Terriers, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasiliero)

What areas do you cover? Because I travel on foot, I only cover a small area to avoid confusion and stress between walks with the dogs. I can pick up any dog which is within a reasonable walking distance of Clapham Common, Battersea Park, or Wandsworth Common. For sitting and photography, I am able to travel depending on where you are based. Feel free to contact me to discuss further.

How many dogs do you walk at a time? I will never walk more than 4 dogs at one time. I will always strive to make sure groups of dogs socialise well before committing to creating a pack with them. If you would prefer I walk your dog alone, I will do my best to organise this.

What happens if there's an emergency? During the scheduled meet & greet, I will ask you to fill out a form that includes your emergency contact information and the details of your registered veterinary practice. In the event of an emergency, I will call the contact listed for the dog owner, inform them of as much detail as possible, and ask for further instructions. If I am unable to get in contact with the owner listed, I will escort the dog to the registered veterinary clinic, or the nearest clinic depending on the severity of the incident.

Do you collect / drop off the dogs? When you book your walks with Lito's Banditos, we will discuss collection times. However, your charged time will begin when I leave your property with your dog. If you are not at home during the pick up / drop off time, you will need to provide copies of your keys which will be kept securely with me at all times.

What is your cancellation policy? Full details of my cancellation policy can be found here.

Do you send updates on how the walks are going? I will happily provide pupdates at your request. I can send them via text, whatsapp, or e-mail depending on your preference. You can also follow your dog on our adventures on my instagram page which is @litosbanditosdogwalking.

What happens if you have a holiday booked, or fall unwell? I will let you know well in advance of any personal days off I require for a holiday, so that I am able to help you find a replacement walker for that time I am away. If I am too unwell to work, with your permission I will do my best to find you a replacement walker from the local area.

Do you do out of hours bookings in the evenings and on weekends? I can offer weekend walks if discussed and booked a reasonable amount of time in advance. I do pet sitting sessions in the evenings which will include a walk.

How does payment work? Once we have discussed and confirmed your bookings for any given week, I will issue you with an invoice which will detail and total the cost of services which will be provided to you. Payments must be made upon arrival of the first service. Example: if you book three walks (Mon, Wed, Fri) which totals £45 I will issue you an invoice for as much and expect the full total to be paid in cash upon my arrival to pick up your dog on the Monday. Refunds will not be offered if walks within that week are cancelled, but in the event that a cancellation is agreed, the money will be deducted from a future walk. If payment is not given or left at the first agreed appointment, I will not complete the walk.

What do I need to provide for my dogs walk? It is required that you leave your dogs preferred collar, harness, raincoat, and leash in a place that is easily accessible to me. Please make sure it is somewhere I can easily find it so that time is not lost searching. It is advised you let me know beforehand, its placement in your house if you are not going to be home for the pick up. I will be using training treats on walks, so if your dog has speciality or preferred treats, you will need to provide those. I have an unlimited amount of poo bags, and will always carry fresh water so there is no need to provide that.

Does my dog need to wear an ID tag? Yes; in the UK, the Control of Dogs Order 1992 states that any dog in a public place must wear a collar with the name and address (including postcode) of the owner engraved or written on it, or engraved on a tag. Your telephone number is optional (but we would recommend this). If the collar left for us at pick up doesn't not have the necessary information attached, unfortunately your dog will not be able to join us on our walk and you will be advised of such.

My dog can't walk with others, will you still walk them? I understand that not all dogs can be walked as part of a pack and as long as it is not because of aggressive reasons, I will do my best to cater to them. I especially love spending time with senior dogs so if you have a dog that can't come on group walks due to age, allergies, disabilities etc, please still free to contact me to see what I can do.

Full Terms & Conditions will be sent once bookings are made, or at your request.
